Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Room Attendant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents across Canada. The role supports housekeeping and laundry operations while upholding Sunrise's standards of resident-centered care.

You will perform duties in resident suites and common areas, ensuring privacy, infection control and safety. The position offers opportunities to contribute to team initiatives and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Ability to handle laundry operations and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Commitment to infection prevention and safety practices (OSHA).
• Respect resident privacy and dignity at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties in resident suites, common areas and offices.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures and surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, sinks, showers and glass surfaces.
• Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms.
• Collect trash and transport linens as required.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute community laundry.
• Inspect linens for wear and follow replacement procedures.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in safe condition.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist residents and communicate updates to supervisors.
• Participate in team meetings and resident engagement initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Perform housekeeping duties in resident suites, common areas and offices
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures and surfaces
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, sinks, showers and glass surfaces
• Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms
• Collect trash and transport clean and soiled linens appropriately
• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute community laundry
• Inspect linens for wear and follow procedures for damaged items
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in safe, orderly condition
• Follow infection control, OSHA and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with resident needs and communicate updates to supervisors
• Participate in team meetings and engagement initiatives

Pay Range: 20.25 - 24.65 Employment Information
