Job Summary:

Spirit Ridge is a resort in Osoyoos, BC, offering self-contained guest suites and villas with full kitchens. We are seeking Room Attendants to clean and maintain guest suites and common areas to resort standards, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests. Youth, students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. No previous experience or education is required, full on-the-job training is provided, and subsidized staff accommodation is available for applicants relocating for the season. This is a suitable first job for anyone new to the workforce.

Shifts include morning (8:30 am to 5:00 pm) and afternoon (1:00 pm to 9:30 pm) schedules, including weekend and holiday work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned guest suites, including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and balconies
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest supplies
• Dust furniture and fixtures, and vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors in guest suites and common areas
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Clean windows, mirrors, and interior glass surfaces
• Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, and other common areas
• Remove garbage, recycling, and soiled linens from guest suites and common areas
• Participate in deep cleaning of guest suites and common areas as scheduled
• Stock housekeeping carts and linen rooms with supplies
• Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or services
• Report maintenance issues, damages, and needed repairs to the supervisor
• Record, secure, and turn in lost and found items in accordance with resort procedures
• Handle and store cleaning products safely and follow workplace safety procedures

Wage/Salary: $20.00/hour

After 3 months of employment, employees may enroll in the company benefits program, with premiums shared between employee and employer

Access to subsidized staff accommodations is available for full-time employees

Employees are eligible to receive up to fifty cents per hour in additional wage premiums, paid and earned in accordance with company policy

Hours Per Week: Minimum of 30 hours per week; up to 40 regular hours per week during peak seasonal periods

Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full-Time, 269-day contract from March 1, 2027 to November 24, 2027

Location of Work: 1200 Rancher Creek Road, Osoyoos, BC V0H 1V6

Language of Work: English

You must be available to work weekends and holidays, as required.

Requirements

Work Experience: No Minimum Work Experience Requirement; On-the-job training available and provided

Skills Requirements:

• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks, such as bed-making, scrubbing, and vacuuming, throughout a full shift
• Must be able to bend, crouch, lift overhead, and stand on feet for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 23 kg (50 lb)
• Must be able to communicate courteously with guests and respond to requests in English
