Job summary

RONA in Ottawa is seeking a Receiving and Handling team member to ensure smooth and accurate product flow from deliveries to store shelves. The role focuses on attention to detail, safe handling, and efficient inventory management.

You will receive product, operate equipment, maintain paperwork, and support daily store operations. This position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliable execution in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate store equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, electric lifts, computer, scanner).
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with material handling equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain inventory flow to store shelves.
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space for incoming product.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received.
• Complete paperwork with accuracy.
• Support store operations to keep the store running smoothly.

Your role:

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves (sort and unpack product, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space is available for incoming product
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received
• Complete paperwork with attention to accuracy
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:

• Ability to operate store equipment in assigned work area (forklift, pallet jacks, electrical lifts, computer, scanner etc.)
