Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Robotics Technical Sales Specialist to join our team in a strategic technical sales role. This position will focus on driving growth, customer engagement, and the adoption of Omron's innovative robotics solutions. Operating as a consultative technical sales professional, you will collaborate with end users, system integrators, channel partners, and internal teams to position Omron as a leader in robotics.

Responsibilities :

  • Business Development :

Participate in business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities through engaging customers with both commercial and technical discussions.

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential customers via networking, marketing initiatives, and direct engagement.
  • Stay informed about competitors and participate in industry associations as per company policy.
  • Work closely with engineering and product management teams to develop feasible proposals aligned with customer needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders across the value chain, including end users and channel partners.
  • Collaborate with system integrators and OEM partners to deliver integrated robotics solutions.
  • Relationship & Account Management :

Maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the industrial automation industry.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive technical support and practical solutions.
  • Engage regularly with clients to assess requirements and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners to enhance competitive positioning.
  • Technical Sales Support with CRM :

Assess customer automation needs and provide technical recommendations.

  • Work with Application Engineers for project development and implementation, including risk assessment.
  • Manage sales opportunities using CRM systems for visibility and timely closure.
  • Qualify opportunities to match customer needs with Omron's capabilities.
  • Performance Reporting & Market Positioning :

Deliver regular reports on sales activities and business development.

  • Conduct market analysis to refine strategies and increase market share.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in robotics and automation, incorporating new technologies into sales strategies.

Requirements :

  • Diploma / degree in Engineering (Mechatronics / Electrical / Robotics).
  • Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Certifications in robotics or industrial automation products (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Omron, KUKA, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Technical Applications Sales, preferably in robotics or automation.
  • Knowledge of the robotics industry and market trends.
  • Experience in system integration, OEM, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience with PDCA Cycle Management.
  • Ability to plan and implement sales strategies.
