Job summary

Martinrea Metallics Canada Inc. in Ridgetown, ON is hiring a Robot Technician to program, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize FANUC robotic welding systems on our 99 Golf Course Line site.

This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week with salary in CAD and performance/discretionary bonuses. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will support installation, validation, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
• 2+ years of experience programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining robotic systems.
• Experience with FANUC robots and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and weld controllers.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize FANUC robotic welding systems.
• Configure, test, and maintain robotic systems and tooling.
• Support installation, commissioning, validation of robotic cells and lines.
• Perform robot mastering, TCP calibration, payload configuration, and software updates.
• Diagnose and resolve robotic, electrical, and process-related issues.
• Maintain communication between robots, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and weld controllers.
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure compliance with specs and production needs.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements to productivity and quality.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on robotic systems.
