Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. is seeking a Robotic Weld Technician to program and operate welded assemblies meeting customer specs in a safe environment. Responsibilities include welding parts per drawings, maintaining weld cell efficiency, and ensuring QA compliance.

The role requires experience with robotic welding, MIG welding, FANUC controls, and the ability to read drawings and measurements. Overtime and a dynamic plant setting are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in programming, setting-up and maintaining robotic weld cells.
• Experience with Tape Measures, Vernier and other measuring tools.
• Robotic welding experience required.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Experience with metal fabrication an asset.
• Experience with FANUC required.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently or with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Program and maintain accuracy and efficiency in weld cells.
• Robotically weld parts per drawings and specifications.
• Ensure tasks are completed within the allotted time.
• Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Use protective equipment as required.
• Prepare and assemble parts according to drawings and specifications.
• Inspect welds to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Ensure first-off/first-part QA is met.
• Complete data entry and paperwork as required.
• Maintain welding equipment and gas/wire supplies for shifts.
• Maintain MIC housekeeping standards.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe equipment or practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
