Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure Rollstar Metal Forming machinery is kept in optimal condition.

The role requires a Red Seal 433A and at least five years in a similar position, with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and English communication. You will read drawings, service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, while maintaining tool inventories and safety standards on site in

Qualifications

• Red Seal 433A certification is required.
• Minimum five years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong reading/writing in English and effective communication.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical issues on production equipment.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and log all activities.
• Repair/maintain machines, read blueprints, and document parts required.
• Train operators and colleagues as needed.
• Work safely on ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.

Job Summary

Ensure that all machines at Rollstar Metal Forming are maintained and in proper working order

Education, Experience and Skills

• Provincial Certification Red Seal 433A required
• Minimum five (5) years experience in similar position
• Must be able to read, write and speak English with good written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of Mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of Mechanical and Electrical procedures
• Experience of working with presses preferred
• Knowledge of machine rigging procedures
• Basic knowledge of machining and welding - tig, mig and stick welding
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools and industrial maintenance equipment
• Possess own tools and toolbox
• Holding dual tickets is an asset

Major Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and diagnose root causes of issues in equipment Perform full diagnostics on equipment and advise Maintenance Supervisor and/or Purchasing Manager of parts required to perform necessary Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Must ensure all paperwork and logs are completed prior to shift end
• Physically maintain machines and equipment
• Maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule
• Ensure preventative maintenance program are done based on assigned schedules
• Maintain company tools as required to fulfil duties
• Trouble shooting of production equipment and record keeping of development and troubleshooting
• Work independently and with minimum supervision
• Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required
• Provide training as required
• Complete routine paperwork as required
• Support daily production requirements
• Work on ladders, lifts and scaffolds
