Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. in Newmarket, Ontario, is seeking a CNC operator. You will machine components to print using mills, drills, and grinders, read engineering drawings, and maintain accurate setup/run times.

The role requires strong communication and safe operation of overhead cranes. Candidates should have automotive experience and own setup tools or willingness to acquire them. Safety-minded individuals with good computer skills and knowledge of CNC programming (2D/3D) are encouraged

Qualifications

• Good communication in English, written and oral.
• Grade 12 education is required.
• Minimum 5 years of automotive experience or a college CNC diploma/certificate.
• Must bring own setup tools or be willing to purchase.
• Able to read engineering drawings and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Machining components to print using milling, radial drill, and surface grinder.
• Maintain setup/run times and record data.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy before release.
• Keep work area clean and maintain CNC records.
• Lubricate machines as per PM instructions and follow QA policies.
• Collaborate between Engineering and CNC/Tool Room teams.
• Prepare programming for CNC and laser from die designs.
