Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel, QC, is seeking candidates for a robotic sandblasting operator role in a high-tech manufacturing environment. You will move, fixtures, sandblast parts, inspect, and document quality checks while maintaining equipment and contributing to safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (equivalence certificate not accepted).
• Experience in manual work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with attention to detail and precision.
• Experience with automated equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Rigor.
• Organizational skills / Priority management.
• Autonomy.
• Ability to work encapsulated (full-body suit including a helmet with oxygen supply).
• Handling tools requires a certain level of physical strength.

Responsibilities

• move parts using lifting devices
• install the part on a mounting fixture and prepare it by installing various masks or tools, according to the technical drawing
• carry out sandblasting operations by operating equipment equipped with a robot according to technical procedures
• complete the sandblasting of the part using specialized manual equipment while respecting the parameters
• inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications
• complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
• perform daily self-maintenance of equipment
• conduct sand analyses (particle size)
• contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and achieving objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries
