Job summary

Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services is seeking reliable Traffic Control Workers to direct traffic at roadwork sites across Newfoundland and Labrador. You will set up devices, manage flow, and coordinate with crew to keep workers and motorists safe.

Ideal candidates hold a valid TCP certification, understand provincial regulations, and can stay alert in busy environments. The role requires outdoor work, rotating shifts, and teamwork in dynamic roadside conditions.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid TCP certification recognized in Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Knowledge of provincial traffic regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to remain alert and focused in high-traffic environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios.
• Set up and take down traffic control devices including cones, signs, and barricades in accordance with provincial guidelines.
• Maintain safe traffic flow through construction zones and around hazards.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to coordinate traffic movement.
• Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and provincial standards.
• Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.
