Job summary

VistaCare in Halifax, NS seeks a full-time Traffic Control Person (TCP)/Flagger/Labourer to direct traffic and support telecom construction crews. This outdoor role emphasizes safety, signaling devices, and coordination with line/splicing teams in varying weather.

The successful candidate will hold a valid driver’s license, possess traffic control certification or be willing to obtain it, and work rotating shifts including overtime and weekends as required. Crimi nal check may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Traffic control certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic to ensure safe and efficient flow.
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices.
• Implement detours and lane closures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and crews.
• Enforce safety regulations and procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents.
• Maintain records of activities and incidents.
• Operate company vehicle.
