Job summary

EXP Services Inc. in Brampton, ON, is seeking a Lighting Designer to join the Transportation electrical team. You will prepare detailed lighting and electrical designs and conduct illumination calculations for highways and sites, using AutoCAD/MicroStation and AGi32/Autolux.

You will also develop photometric layouts and prepare contract documents with cost estimates. The role requires several years of detailed design experience and knowledge of IES-RP-21, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years continuous experience in detailed design.
Experience in lighting calculation of highways, municipal roadways, parking lots, underpasses, tunnels, pedestrian paths.
Knowledge of IES-RP-21.
Experience with advanced lighting design tools AGi32 and Autolux.
Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed lighting and electrical designs and drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Conduct detailed calculations such as illumination to ensure designs meet engineering standards and codes.
Perform complete lighting analysis using AGi32 or Autolux for roadway and site lighting projects.
Design lighting systems including panel schedules, poles and base details, photometric layouts, and luminaire schedules.
Prepare contract documents with specifications and cost estimates.
