Job summary

Bird in Canada is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator for Roads and Utilities to support Project Managers and Superintendents in coordination of safety, quality, scheduling, cost controls, and communications with sub-trades and clients.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will help manage RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, budgets, and master schedules for roadworks and utilities, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on project coordination experience in large commercial, civil or institutional builds.
• Experience with trackwork, station construction, or architectural cladding is highly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with price change orders, track RFIs and review shop drawings for approvals.
• Coordinate information provided and required by sub-trades and suppliers.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and design change requests.
• Prepare and update project budget, schedule, and cost reports.
• Maintain weekly master project schedule and align superintendent look-aheads.
• Coordinate construction activities for roadworks and utilities with site supervision.
• Liaise with municipalities, utility companies, consultants and regulators.
• Support subcontractor management, payments, and performance evaluations.
• Attend meetings; prepare minutes, action items and follow-ups.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants, sub-trades and suppliers.
• Support health, safety and environmental standards to meet requirements.
