Job summary

Skilled Trades Agency's client in Canada seeks a Road Service Technician to maintain and repair electrical powered material handling equipment at customer sites. This full-time role includes travel to client facilities and providing on-site service.

You will look up part numbers, place orders, source parts, update service bulletins, and keep the company van stocked with tools and PPE, ensuring reliable field support.

Qualifications

• Must possess a 310S or 310T license or be a 4th year apprentice ready to challenge the exam.
• Prior experience servicing automotive or heavy equipment.
• Experience servicing forklifts or material handling equipment is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and own basic hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical powered material handling equipment.

• Source parts and contact parts suppliers.
• Maintain service manuals and update service bulletins as needed.

Compensation: $75,000-$85,000/year + Company Benefits + Company Vehicle

About the Company: Our client is a supplier of material handling equipment. They have been in the industry for over 60 years and pride themselves on being the largest supplier of material handling solutions in Canada. They are expanding at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Road Service Technician to their team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various types of electrical powered material handling equipment
• Travel to clients facilities to assist with repairs to in house machines
• Look up part numbers required for repairs and place orders with parts department
• Source parts and contact parts suppliers
• Maintain service manuals and update service bulletins of any important information that needs to be conveyed to other employees
• Keep company van clean and in good working condition (i.e. tools, parts and PPE)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess a 310S or 310T license or be a 4th year apprentice ready to challenge the exam
• Must possess prior experience servicing automotive or heavy equipment
• Prior experience working on servicing forklifts or other material handling equipment is considered to be a strong asset
• Must possess a valid drivers’ license with a clean abstract
• Must possess own set of basic hand and power tools
