Job summary

CIMA+’s Transportation team in Ontario seeks an Intermediate Road Safety Technologist to support traffic and safety projects. You’ll engage in Vision Zero planning, data collection, network screening, and safety reviews across rural and urban settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Road Safety.
• Transportation Engineering Technology diploma.
• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset.
• Knowledge of OTM Books, TAC/MTO Design Guides, MUTCDC, HCM, HTA.
• Proficient with traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
• Valid Driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with client service as a priority.
• Proficient technical writer documenting road safety observations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Integrity, team spirit, and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior technical staff to develop high-quality end products.
• Conduct site visits, field observations and measurements.
• Collect and process data in support of road safety initiatives.
• Communicate with Clients and team members.
• Undertake research and literature reviews for various projects.
• Conduct statistical analysis in support of road safety modelling.
• Execute public and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare Technical Reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Other duties as assigned.
