Job summary

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care within a patient- and family-centered framework. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations in a busy hospital setting.

This role requires current unrestricted RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BCLS certification, and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current certification in BCLS.
• Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in patient care planning and delivery.
• Collaborates and provides consult to Registered Practice Nurse when patients are unstable.
• Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responses and take action.
• Ability to manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously.
• Strong interprofessional and communication skills.

About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Nursing Resource Team, with a matrix tothe Medical Unit Managers, as a member of the Nursing Resource Team you will be responsible for providingquality nursing care to patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes are not predictable. As part ofa multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of the College ofNurses of Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission vision, Values and the policies of ThunderBay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a member of the Nursing Resource Team, you will be part of a dynamicteam of skilled and knowledgeable Nurses who provide patient care. The Nursing Resource Team is an opportunityfor Nurses to acquire and maintain competencies in varied patient care areas.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

• Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with theCollege of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become Licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current certification in BCLS
• Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery
• Collaborates and provides consult to Registered Practice Nurse'swhen patients assigned to the RPN become unstable or have outcomes that are not as expected
• Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate action
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions
• Strong interprofessional and communication skills

Salary Range: $41.150 to 58.980
