Job summary

Baycrest Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Nursing Resource Team (NRT) and Complex Continuing Care Unit (5 East). This temporary full-time role supports flexible staffing and continuity of care across geriatric programs.

The RN will contribute to capacity management and provide high-quality, patient-centred care. The position requires current CNO registration, BCLS Level C with AED, and ideally a BScN.

Qualifications

• Current registration, in good standing, from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is required
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate, Level C - AED is required
• BScN preferred
• Previous geriatric experience preferred
• Ability to lead, organize, provide and delegate care activities for unit, clients, and families
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills - Meditech, Word and Excel, RM&R Resource Matching and Referral

Responsibilities

• Provides sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills and delivers comprehensive client/family centred care from admission through discharge
• Plans for, delivers and evaluates nursing interventions, including medications administration and treatments within RN scope
• Provides client-centred care within inter-disciplinary team to support return to baseline functioning and discharge to the community
