Toronto Rehabilitation Institute at University Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Specialized Dementia Unit (5 South). The RN will provide expert geriatric nursing care for patients with dementia, leading inter-professional planning and family education to promote quality of life.

The role requires a nursing degree, CCN of Ontario, and 2–5 years dementia care experience. Expect rotation shifts and strong teamwork within a teaching hospital environment.

Qualifikationen

• Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• 2-5 years experience in care and management of patients with dementia.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Aufgaben

• Plan, manage, evaluate and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care.
• Use knowledge to plan and implement care for patients with dementia and families.
• Education of patients, family, and facilities regarding dementia care.
• Participate in inter-professional rounds and family conferences.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to students and new staff on the unit.
