Job description

Join Davies’ General Counsel and Risk Management team as a Risk Management Counsel on a 12-month full-time contract. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a large law firm setting. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will support internal risk management and legal affairs, advising on a variety of internal risk, legal, and compliance issues.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Reviewing outside counsel guidelines
2. Evaluating and providing insights on commercial and non-disclosure agreements
3. Participating in privacy compliance projects
4. Conducting lateral conflict checks
5. Assisting with ethical wall resolution of staffing conflicts
6. Training lawyers and staff on risk management and compliance matters
7. Contributing to risk management policies and initiatives
8. Implementing information governance and retention strategies
9. Responding to non-IT sections of client questionnaires

Candidates should be strategic thinkers with strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
