Are you someone that loves everything to do with numbers and analysis? We have an opportunity for a Risk Analyst to join our close knit Product Development team for Dealer Services. In this role you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best practices, designed to preserve the financial viability of our multiple Property & Casualty (P&C) product lines, by providing risk and market analysis, for senior management, sales, and dealer education. You will also ensure that the sales team is recommending the correct products for a specific dealer’s needs, so we are protected against anti-selection.
What Will I be Doing:
Work with the Manager of Product Development to establish the practice standards for;
the team of Extended Warranty Specialists and Ancillary Product Specialists,
by guiding their efforts in the areas of risk management, technical product knowledge, and sales support, for our distribution network, which includes Auto, RV, TT, RPG, and Marine Dealers, including Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) and Dealer Groups.
VIN Updating – daily (about 7 hours a week)
Make/Model updates for new models (as needed)
Manufacture Warranty updating, at least annually
Class Guide updating for new vehicles (as needed)
Class Guide updating based on vehicle experience (annually or as needed)
BlackBook updating – once a week
Prod Dev. Representative at FOS weekly teams calls
Work through daily challenges
Help with Claims adjudication issues
Bring new ideas, recommendations, or large issues to the attention of the Product Development Manager
Experience Review
by asset type, by province, dealer groups
provide risk analysis material to Sales for Dealer presentations and Sales launches
Review claims
Identify claims trends
Make recommendation
Identify adjudication/adjudicator learning opportunities/ improvements
Regularly Monitor and Analyze current block of business and make recommendations to reduce risk and stay competitive, develop corrective action measure where needed (sales mix, service center or claims adjudication process)
As Technical Specialist Work with Product Lead of Extended Warranty
To pro-actively gather product information
including competitive info and reviews
Provide market analysis and industry trends
Recommend product changes to Manager Product Development and Senior Management
Assist Marketing team with;
Point of Sale material
Review T&C of contracts for risk and appropriate claims wording
Other Tasks:
Review complete block of P &C business (Extended Warranty, Replacement Insurance/Warranty (RI/RW), GAP, DK Appearance Protection, Theft protection) on a quarterly or semi-annual basis (depending on product) to ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures are in place, for each product line. Discuss claim measures with the iA Dealers Services Executive, Extended Warranty Claims Management, RI/RW and GAP Claims Management, as well as National (Ancillary) Warranty Operations Manager.
Backup the Product Development Manager when needed on projects or meetings, and lead complex projects from start to finish, considering appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Take on other projects and tasks as required or assigned.
What we are Looking for:
Post-secondary degree in business administration, actuarial science, or an insurance related discipline. Marketing experience or equivalent, would be great asset.
Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MS Access, and MS Word.
Knowledge of Salesforce or BI tool would be an asset.
Well-developed interpersonal skills. Strong team player.
Superior technical knowledge provided by 7 or more years related vehicle service contract experience in either an insurance industry or repair facility environment, including mechanical or claims adjudication experience, with strong analytical skills.
P&C Insurance license or willingness to obtain after employment
Strong communication skills, including business writing skills and negotiation skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills; self-motivated; attention to detail, with initiative and can-do attitude.
Bilingual (French/English) would be an asset.

Compensation
