Job summary

Northern Regional Recreation Centre Inc. is seeking an Arena Operator to manage daily rink operations and ensure efficient facility performance. You will schedule ice rentals, coordinate events and tournaments, and perform ice maintenance like flooding and scraping.

You will report to the board chair and adapt to peak rental times throughout the year. The wage is hourly and based on qualifications and experience, with a 40-hour work week and requirement to complete the Arena Operator course if

Qualifications

• Completion of or willingness to complete the Arena Operator course.
• Experience with ice maintenance and rink operations is preferred.
• Ability to schedule events and manage ice rental times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility.
• Schedule and coordinate rentals, events, and tournaments.
• Flood and scrape ice daily based on usage.

• This is a hourly position based of a 40 hour work week.
• Wage will be based on qualifications and work experience.
• Candidate must have completed or be willing to complete the Arena Operator course.
• Candidate will be 100% responsible for the day to day operations of the facility.
• Candidate will report to the board chair and board.
• Candidate must schedule themselves to work during the busiest rental times.
• Candidate shall flood and scrape the ice on a daily basis based on the usage of the ice surface.
• Creates and oversees the work schedule to ensure facility operates efficiently.
• Candidate will handle ice rental scheduling-working with numerous user groups to coordinate and schedule and regular and one time rentals as well as parties, events and tournaments.
• Build ice late July every year.
