Job summary

City of Dryden is seeking a part-time Rink Attendant for the Dryden Recreation Complex for the winter season (Sept 2026 – Apr 2027). These shifts include evenings and weekends, with some weekdays.

Duties include supervising public skating, assisting ice and facility maintenance, equipment disinfection at the Dryden Fitness Centre, and arena cleaning. Pay is $16.60–$16.90 for under 18 and $17.60–$17.95 for 18+, per hour, with benefits as per the Employment Standards Act.

Qualifications

• Courteous and polite manner when dealing with the public.
• Cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to skate considered an asset.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide trained supervision during public skating and assist maintenance staff with ice and facility maintenance.
• Disinfect equipment at the Dryden Fitness Centre and perform arena cleaning duties.
• Maintain facility washrooms and changerooms as part of regular operations.
• Report any issues to supervisor and adhere to safety guidelines.

The Dryden Recreation Complex requires Rink Attendants for the winter season, approximately September 2026 – April 2027. These are part-time positions requiring the ability to work evenings, weekends and some weekday shifts.

Rate of pay per hour is:
Under 18 years of age: $16.60 until September 30 th then $16.90 effective October 1, 2026.
18 years and over: $17.60 until September 30 th then $17.95 effective October 1, 2026.
All other benefits as per the Employment Standards Act.

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing trained supervision during public skating, assisting maintenance staff with ice and facility maintenance, equipment disinfection duties at the Dryden Fitness Centre, as well as regular arena cleaning duties which includes facility washrooms and changerooms.

Position Requirements:

• Demonstrated courteous and polite manner when dealing with the public.

• Cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to skate would be considered an asset.
• Current First Aid and C.P.R. Certificates or ability to obtain.
