Atikokan Economic Development Corporation in Atikokan is seeking two Arena Assistants for the 2026/2027 season to help with ice maintenance, arena operations, outdoor rink snow clearing and related duties as assigned.

The successful candidates will work alongside Arena Attendants, perform facility clean-up, assist with ice timing and equipment, and respond to scheduling changes. Hours may vary with ice time, events and weather, and the position pays $17.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with ice rinks or facility maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable and able to follow directions.

Job description

The Community Services Department is currently seeking to hire two Arena Assistants
(“Rink Rat”) for the 2026/2027 season. The successful candidate will be required to assist
the Arena Attendants with ice maintenance, facility clean-up and other miscellaneous
duties as assigned as well as snow clearing and ice maintenance at outdoor rinks. Hours
may vary depending on ice time scheduling.

Rate of pay: $17.60
