Job summary

Turris Group in Nova Scotia is seeking a field telecommunications technician to install, test, and maintain aerial and underground transmission systems across diverse sites.

You will climb poles, work aloft, repair cables and equipment, and travel frequently to customer locations. A valid driver's license and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of telecom experience.
• Ability to travel frequently to various locations.
• Must be able to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain test and service reports
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
• Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
• Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
• Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment
• Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems, circuits and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres
