Job summary

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Alberta, is seeking a Revenue Analyst to manage daily revenue data, billing, and reporting for conferences and events.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will oversee accounts receivable, credit assessments, pricing initiatives, and inventory optimization across lodging and meeting spaces, leveraging tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL. The role is hybrid with some remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Finance, or Business or related field.
• 3 to 5 years work experience in hospitality industry.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage group billing, posting, room charges, billing summaries, invoice generation, and payment collection.
• Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable through proactive follow-up and delinquency management.
• Administer credit application processes and assess creditworthiness of new customers.
• Coordinate resolution of complex billing issues; act as primary escalation point for finance inquiries.
• Develop, maintain, and improve billing processes and documentation.
• Provide training to Conference Coordinators on financial procedures.
• Maintain relationships with internal departments and external clients for data and financial operations.
• Oversee accuracy and timeliness of conference financial operations and reporting.
• Support pricing strategies, yield management, and inventory optimization for conferences.
• Analyze group opportunities, demand trends, and inventory utilization for pricing decisions.
• Ensure revenue management systems and related tech are configured and operating.
• Administer and optimize hotel room and meeting space inventory for conference groups and internal bookings.
