Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant in Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness. The role reports to the Provincial Manager of Disability Management and focuses on managing illness/injury absences, ensuring benefit documentation, and coordinating a safe return to work.

The position requires a health-related degree and experience in disability management, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a health-related field required.
• Working towards credentials in Disability Management and/or Occupational Health & Safety preferred.
• Current membership in good standing with relevant professional college.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with complex case/disability management.

Responsibilities

• Actively manages employees absent from the workplace due to illness or injury.
• Ensure documentation to qualify for and maintain illness/injury benefits and supports.
• Assess work environments and positions for individuals with limitations.
• Facilitate safe and timely return to work and ensure legislative compliance.
