Job summary

Sulzer RES Canada in Ontario is seeking a technically strong Retrofit Specialist to join our team. You will partner with Sales to identify, develop, and secure turnkey retrofit opportunities for rotating equipment across Eastern Canada, blending technical depth with customer engagement.

This role requires travel (~30%), collaboration with Sales, Engineering and Service Center teams, and ownership of proposals from scoping to delivery, while staying current on rotating equipment technologies to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, compressors, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer engagement abilities.
• Ability to work with Sales, Engineering and Service Center teams.
• Willingness to travel within Canada and US; valid driver’s license.
• Travel up to ~30% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support regional strategy, sales planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead customer-facing activities to uncover retrofit opportunities.
• Conduct technical assessments and translate issues into retrofit concepts.
• Prepare technically robust retrofit proposals with clear value propositions.
• Support full proposal lifecycle and orders review.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
