Job summary

Jarlette Health Services’ Bayfield House Retirement Lodge in Penetanguishene, Ontario is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Attendant to deliver high-quality cleaning that supports resident well-being and safety. Under the Environmental Services Manager, you will help maintain clean rooms, hallways and common areas while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include reporting unsafe conditions, adhering to health and safety standards, and assisting with equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with environmental services preferred.
• Must demonstrate good communications skills.
• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Prior experience in Retirement Lodge/Hospitality Industry an asset.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Record check as required under either the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 81 (2) and Ontario Regulation ss. 252 (1) or the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, Reg 13.(1-6)

Responsibilities

• Provide optimum cleaning services to promote residents' well-being.
• Maintain lodge equipment and residents' personal possessions.
• Ensure health and safety by safe practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend mandatory safety training and comply with OHSA requirements.
