Job summary

The BC Public Service is seeking a Supervisor for a major retail operation in Powell River, BC. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and contribute to stock control and store security while supporting branch policies.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• At least six months recent experience with three months as a supervisor in a customer-facing environment.
• Preference may be given to candidates with retail experience or sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure good customer service and supervise staff to maintain morale.
• Develop teamwork and maintain staff morale within the store.
• Assist in controlling stock levels and stock variances and ensure security in the store.
• Assist with training staff, scheduling, and store duties including labour relations matters.
