GardaWorld is seeking a Retail Security Guard for Kamloops Winners in Kamloops, BC. This part-time role runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5pm to 9pm, focusing on theft deterrence, customer safety, and incident response in a busy retail environment.

You will patrol, monitor activity, and coordinate with store staff to maintain a safe shopping atmosphere. BC Security Worker Licence is required; First Aid is an asset; strong observation and communication are essential.

Through proactive patrols, strong situational awareness, and effective surveillance, you'll help prevent theft and support a safe shopping environment. You'll work closely with store staff while using your communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills to handle situations professionally and confidently.

Responsibilities for Retail Security Guard

Conduct regular patrols of the retail premises to identify and deter theft, suspicious activity, and safety hazards

Monitor customer and employee activity while maintaining a visible security presence

Respond promptly to incidents, including shoplifting, disturbances, and policy violations, and document all actions taken

Assist with loss prevention efforts and support store management in maintaining a safe shopping environment

Monitor CCTV systems and investigate suspicious activities as required

Provide professional customer service while enforcing site policies and procedures

Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services when required

Qualifications for Retail Security Guard

Authorized to work in CanadaValid

BC Security Worker Licence

First Aid Certification - an asset

Strong observation, customer service and conflict resolution skills

Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations

Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

Strong report writing and communication skills

Alert, detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe environment
