Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Campus Security Guard in Vancouver, BC to patrol, respond to incidents, provide emergency support, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff and visitors. The role focuses on safety, integrity and respectful engagement within a community setting.

The position offers an hourly wage of 23.00 CAD with flexible morning and overnight shifts. GardaWorld Academy training and uniform are provided, supporting career growth in a team-first environment.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada and hold a valid BC security license.
• First aid certification OFA 2 is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong report writing and technology skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to stay focused for long periods.
• Capable of handling high-pressure situations with decisiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols on a regular basis.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards and breaches.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies and alarms promptly.
• Provide First Aid (OFA 2) when required and document actions.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports and shift pass-ons.
• Enforce site policies professionally and consistently.
• Assist with access control and verify authorized entry.
• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors.
• Communicate with supervisors and emergency services as needed.

Responsibilities For Campus Security Guard

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises on a regular basis
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards, and security breaches
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
• Provide First Aid (OFA 2 level) when required and complete all necessary documentation
• Maintain accurate reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-ons
• Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner
• Assist with access control and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a point of contact for staff, students, and visitors
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when required

Qualifications For Campus Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification - OFA 2 - Required
• Strong communication and exceptional customer service skills
• Strong report writing and technology skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Physically able to drive, patrol, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
