Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Corporate Security Guard for a part-time schedule in Vancouver, BC. You will serve as a first point of contact, manage access control, patrol premises, respond to incidents, and ensure a secure workplace while upholding excellent customer service.

The role requires BC Security License, OFA 1 First Aid, and at least 6 months of corporate security experience. GardaWorld offers training, growth opportunities, and full support from a professional team.

Responsibilities

• Customer service duties like welcoming visitors and guiding them.

• Conduct foot patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Perform computer tasks.
• Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.

As a Corporate Security Guard, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, clients, and visitors. As one of the first points of contact at the site, you will represent both the client and the security team while delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for access control, CCTV monitoring, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing site security procedures. Through professionalism, vigilance, and strong attention to detail, you will help mitigate risks, support daily operations, and contribute to a secure and welcoming workplace. The ideal candidate is approachable, proactive, and committed to upholding the highest standards of security and service.

Qualifications for Corporate Security Guard

• Authorized to work in Canada with
• Holding a valid BC Security License
• OFA 1 First Aid Certification ( required )
• Minimum 6 months of corporate security guard experience
• Strong report writing and technology skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
