Job summary

Purolator in Kelowna, BC is hiring a Retail Representative to deliver exceptional customer service at our retail center. You will engage customers, answer questions, process shipping details, and support sales with up-selling and cross-selling of corporate products.

The role requires English proficiency and 3–12 months of customer service or retail experience. Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–12 months customer service experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 70lbs./stand for 3 hour intervals.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers in the most efficient and courteous manner on the telephone and in person; up-selling and cross selling Corporate Products and Services.
• Handling customer complaints and inquiries; problem solving.
• Working to resolve problem shipments and equipment/technology challenges.
• Collaborating with Head Office, local management, drivers, warehousing staff, and account managers to ensure service excellence.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and key contacts.

Hours of work:Tuesday – Friday 11:00am – 7:00pm, Saturday 11:00am - 4:00pm - 35 hours per week

Customer Service Orientation -

• Serving our customers in the most efficient and courteous manner on the telephone and in person Up-selling and cross selling Corporate Products and Services
• Handling customer complaints and inquiries Problem Solving
• Working to resolve problem shipments
• Working to resolve equipment and technology challenges
• Working with Head Office, local management, Drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other Corporate partners to ensure excellence in customer service

• Written communication; and listening skills
• Proven track record of personal responsibility and accountability- including attendance, uniform compliance and attention to detail Experience working in a team environment and independently an asset
• Experience working in an environment with safety standards an asset

Language Requirement:Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
