Job summary

Canlan Sports in North York is seeking a Retail Coordinator to support Restaurant, Food & Beverage, and Sport Shop operations across Canlan facilities. You will help manage inventory, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have restaurant experience, strong inventory and POS system knowledge, and demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced environment. This role is based at our North York head office.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Previous restaurant experience.
• Experience in Food and Beverage operations, including restaurant inventory, purchasing, customer service, and daily operations.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• One to two years of experience in retail, restaurant operations, or Food and Beverage, preferably within a regional or national franchise chain.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, purchasing, and POS systems.
• Experience with Shift4 POS, Yellow Dog, or similar inventory management systems is an asset.
• Strong customer service, sales, communication, and business development skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, professional, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Support restaurant, Food and Beverage, and Sport Shop operations across Canlan facilities.
• Ensure compliance with approved pricing, inventory standards, and established operating procedures.
• Maintain approved par levels for each restaurant and retail store.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock availability while maintaining inventory targets and minimizing excess stock.
• Assist the Director of Retail with annual purchasing and booking orders.
• Support inventory controls, purchasing processes, and stock management for both Food and Beverage and Sport Shop operations.
• Assist with menu design, printing allocations, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Support sales growth, customer service improvements, and consistent merchandising standards across locations.
• Assist with purchasing apparel, prizes, uniforms, restaurant supplies, and retail inventory.
