Job summary

SportChek is seeking a Store Loss Prevention Lead to help protect the store assets and support customers and staff. You will drive LP initiatives, be a visible presence on the sales floor, and ensure adherence to tagging standards and security procedures.

You will report to the Store General Manager and coach associates while coordinating with the Regional Loss Prevention Manager. The role emphasizes growth, training, and a strong safety culture within the store environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of retail experience is considered an asset.
• 12+ months as a Loss Prevention Officer or In-store Security is an asset.
• Experience training and mentoring employees.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Computer literacy is an asset.
• Passion for activities and the drive to inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to reduce internal and external loss by maintaining a visible LP presence on the sales floor.
• Ensure the store executes all aspects of the LP program and awareness among customers and employees.
• Be a Loss Prevention presence at front of store and in-department during high-risk hours.
• Ensure customers are acknowledged and products are secured per tagging standards.
• Log incidents and liaise with Regional LP Manager to share information.
• Coach associates on acknowledgement responsibilities and LP hotspots.
