Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a Front-End Service Clerk in High River. The role emphasizes customer service, safe and efficient store operations, and adherence to company policies. You will work under the Customer Service Supervisor/Front End Manager to maintain a clean, well-stocked and welcoming sales area.

The position requires Grade 9 or equivalent education and fluency in English. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Must be fluent in English (CLBA - Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).

Responsibilities

Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations through the proper handling of questions, comments, requests and complaints.
Handles merchandise ensuring quality, minimizing damages and markdowns; cleans spills and display fixtures to keep department neat and organized.
Performs duties following Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental regulations and policies for staff and customers.
Ensures proper care, use and maintenance of equipment; reports repairs to the Customer Service Supervisor.
Performs Front End Service Clerk duties including opening/closing, setting up storefront, restocking, cleaning, and assisting with deliveries.
Operates cash handling and related front-end tasks as part of the service duties.
