Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains equipment, manages projects, stock materials, and completes tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list is not exhaustive and may include other duties as assigned.

People

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in store functions.
  • Assist in training store team members.

Service

  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs.
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping; recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions.
  • Resolve customer problems promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing, and assemble parcels for shipping.
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly store environment.

Profit

  • Handle customer data and documents confidentially.
  • Process transactions using POS, including cash handling.
  • Maintain and stock printing and shipping equipment.
  • Ensure proper display of retail products and signage.
  • Prevent errors and waste proactively.
  • Complete financial paperwork and assist with reporting.
  • Adhere to operational, legal, HR, safety, and security policies.

Self-Management

  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all FedEx Office standards and policies.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand for entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Perform bending and twisting activities regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain regular attendance and support business hours.
