What you’ll do – The opportunity

Description:

We are seeking a part-time Retail Clerk to join our team. This position reports directly to the Retail Store and Taproom Supervisor and offers a starting wage of $21.22 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Front line customer service for external customers as well as Sleeman Employees
• Processing beer sales for all customers (internal and external)
• Inventory management in the retail store, including beer, clothing items, mugs, glasses, etc.
• Assist customers in the delivery of cases of beer and kegs to customer’s vehicles if requested
• Process all purchases made and balance the till
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Conduct plant tours for external customers
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email and in person
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Adhere to the food safety required as per job duties and report non-conformities
• Complete Home Beer Deliveries through our Retail Outlet
• Empties collection and reconciliation
• Serving patrons in taproom and patio

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 19 years of age or older
• Strong interpersonal /customer service skills to provide a superior Sleeman’s branded experience for our employees and external customers
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills are required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Ability to lift upwards to 160 lbs
• 1 year cash-handling and key-holder experience, preferably in food & beverage industry is strongly preferred
• Lowlift operation required, in-house training and certification will be provided
• Must have a valid Smart Serve Certificate
• Previous experience working in a retail, customer service role is strongly preferred
• Team player as well as the ability to work independently as need be
• Digital Media experience an asset
• Valid Class G driver’s license and clean driving record
