Jarlette Health Services is seeking a Restorative Care Coordinator for Meadow Park London in London, Ontario. The role focuses on organizing therapy and delivering restorative care to residents under the Director of Care, including hands-on support and program implementation.

The ideal candidate holds a college registration and an Ontario post-secondary credential in recreation/kinesiology, with experience in geriatric rehabilitation and a commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the appropriate college of a regulated health profession.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, kinesiology, therapeutic recreation or equivalent from an Ontario institution.
• At least one year of experience in a health care setting as required under the applicable act.
• Demonstrated ongoing education interest.
• Minimum of two years' experience in geriatric rehabilitation or long-term care is an asset.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and organize therapy and restorative care services under the Director of Care.
• Provide hands-on restorative care including ADL, ROM, feeding and ambulation; implement interdisciplinary care plans.
• Document progress, educate team members, and ensure OH&S safety compliance.

Join our team as a Restorative Care Coordinator!

Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Restorative Care Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the organization of therapy services and the delivery of restorative care services.

This role is responsible for assessing and providing hands‑on restorative care to residents, including assistance with daily living, range of motion, feeding, and ambulation, as well as implementing programs developed by the interdisciplinary therapy team (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy). The position participates in selection, evaluation, promotion, termination of team members, requires collaboration with the rehabilitation team on care plans, documents progress, provides education and ensures compliance with safety standards (OH&S),

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• A current certificate of registration with the appropriate college of a regulated health profession; or
• Must possess a post‑secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, kinesiology, therapeutic recreation or other related field from an Ontario post‑secondary institution, or an equivalent postsecondary diploma, degree or certificate from another jurisdiction: and
• Possess at least one year of experience in a health care setting as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021 ss. 70, and Ontario Regulation ss. 246/22);
• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
• Minimum of two years’ experience in geriatric rehabilitation or Long Term Care an asset
• Computer skills an asset
• Must be computer literate
