Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge, perched atop Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites in Victoria, seeks a Floor Manager to lead the service team with a guest-first mindset. The role requires 40 hours weekly, with evenings, weekends and holidays. Starting pay ranges $25–$27 per hour based on experience.

The Floor Manager will support the Restaurant Manager and F&B Manager, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while meeting cost and labour goals and upholding BC Liquor Act standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year's experience in a supervisory capacity in a comparable establishment.
• Previous experience with Silverware and Open Table considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage outlets with the Restaurant Manager and the F&B Manager.
• Lead the service team to deliver exceptional guest service while upholding all policies and BC Liquor Control Act standards.
• Assist in meeting cost and labour goals as outlined by the management team.
• Engage guests and address issues related to quality, service or ambiance.
• Develop, train, and manage the performance of employees in collaboration with managers.
• Collaborate on promotions or events and execute on site.
• Attend operations meetings and provide feedback to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Report maintenance or equipment deficiencies promptly to management.
• Manage and program POS systems.
• Perform other duties or projects as required.

Job Posting: Floor Manager – Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge

Perched atop the locally owned and operated Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites, Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge is Victoria’s only rooftop restaurant, offering guests breathtaking views alongside a locally inspired culinary experience. For over 25 years, Vista 18 has been a proud part of the Victoria culinary scene and is known for its warm hospitality, exceptional food, and relaxed upscale atmosphere. We are currently seeking a Floor Manager to support our team with passion, professionalism, and a guest-first mindset.

Reporting to:Restaurant Manager and Food & Beverage Manager

Shift Requirements:40 hours a week, must be available evenings, weekends and holidays - we are looking for someone who is available to work weekend (Friday to Sunday) evenings

Compensation:Expected wage rate is $25 - $27.00 an hour. Starting pay is based upon experience.

Main Duties Include:

• Support the Restaurant Manager and the F&B Manager in overseeing daily operations of the food and beverage outlets.
• Promote and lead the service team with the goal of providing an exceptional guest service experience while ensuring that all policies and standards are being met. This includes regulations outlined in the BC Liquor Control Act.
• Assist in meeting cost and labour goals as outlined by the management team.
• Engage guests and address any issues involving quality, service or ambiance.
• Work with the Restaurant Manager and F&B Manager in the development, training, and performance management of employees.
• Collaborate and participate in the development and execution of any promotions or events on site.
• Participate in meetings related to operations and provide feedback or suggestions to improve the quality and/or efficiency of service.
• Report to the Restaurant Manager and the F&B Manager about any maintenance or equipment deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Management and programming of POS systems.
• Other duties or projects as required.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a minimum one years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a comparable establishment and will exhibit a desire to lead a team in providing a positive experience to our guests. Previous experience with Silverware and Open table considered an asset.
