Restaurant Supervisor

At The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, we are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals in a warm, opulent space where we offer our guests the best of Irish hospitality. We pride ourselves on our team and the service we provide, including leisure offerings and bespoke weddings each season.

We are seeking a supervisor to assist the Restaurant Manager in directing and organizing restaurant staff to ensure all guests have a flawless experience.

This role is part of the Killarney Hotels Collection, which includes The Europe Hotel & Resort and Ard na Sidhe Country House. While based at The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, we share a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction across our properties.

This is a fixed-term position, available from April to September 2025.

Duties:
  1. Provide courteous, high-standard service consistently.
  2. Be a team player capable of multitasking.
  3. Anticipate guest needs and preferences.
  4. Maintain strong product knowledge of all dishes and beverages.
  5. Adhere to a flexible work schedule.
  6. Communicate effectively with kitchen and other departments.
  7. Act as a self-starter with clear understanding of work priorities.
  8. Train and supervise staff.
  9. Plan daily restaurant activities.
  10. Handle customer complaints and queries efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
  11. Manage bookings and events via telephone and email.
  12. Keep detailed notes of customer requests and preferences.
  13. Assist food & beverage staff with daily activities, including order taking, using POS systems, billing, cash handling, and checking customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience as a food and beverage supervisor or restaurant supervisor, preferably within the 5-star luxury market.
  2. Attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed guest expectations.
  3. Excellent personal presentation.
  4. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Proficient in hotel software and computer skills.
  7. Ability to work and lead a team effectively.
  8. Fluent in English, both oral and written.
