Job summary

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies is hiring a Shift Lead (MOD) for Cirque Restaurant, Fernie Alpine Resort. This role reports to the Cirque Service Manager and drives daily restaurant operations while upholding guest satisfaction and safety standards.

You will supervise front-of-house staff, coach teammates, and ensure smooth kitchen-to-service communication. The position emphasizes leadership, service quality, and adherence to regulatory procedures in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant supervisory or shift lead experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
• Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained at all times.
• Support and supervise front‑of‑house team members.
• Assist with staff coaching, training, and task delegation.
• Monitor restaurant cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards.
• Perform cash‑outs, cash handling, balancing, and end‑of‑day reporting.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, liquor service, and workplace safety regulations.
• Address guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Support opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain communication between kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Abide by all RCR policies and the Safety Management Program.
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program.
• Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management and Return‑to‑Work Programs.
• Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

We are looking to fill the position of Shift Lead (MOD) at Cirque Restaurant, Fernie Alpine Resort, reporting to the Cirque Service Manager. You Will

You Have

• Previous restaurant supervisory or shift lead experience preferred

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Cash handling and reconciliation experience
• Serving It Right certification (required)
• Availability to work Sunday through Wednesday,plus occasional Saturdays as operational needs require

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive wage: $18.25-20.00/hour
