Stanley’s Bar and Grill at Stanley Park Pavilion in Vancouver is seeking a hands-on, engaged server to join our team. You will greet guests, share product knowledge, suggest beverage pairings, and help ensure a seamless dining experience.

The role requires one year of serving experience, POS familiarity (Profitek is a plus), strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We offer team-oriented culture and staff perks.

The Stanley’s Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service. Main duties include greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage options & pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full table service (order taking, food running and bussing tables);
• Prepare and deliver all food and beverages in a timely manner, follow wine service steps as needed;
• Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner;
• Anticipate Guests’ needs and search for ways to increase Guest satisfaction;
• Efficiently operate restaurant POS and complete cash-out at end of shift;
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment;
• Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements;
• Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook;
• Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies;
• Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and beverage safety;
• Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety;
• Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor; and,
• Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired, by alcohol, drugs or other causes.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of serving experience;
• POS experience or previous knowledge of Profitek System, an asset;
• Must have up to date Serving It Right certificate;
• Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task;
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by;
• Ability to work with team members professionally and with respect; and,
• Working with the team and supporting one another to achieve company goals.

Considerations

• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool;
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business; and,
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions, including heat, rain, and winter environments.
