Job summary

Niagara Casinos seeks a Restaurant Server for a fixed-term contract. The role involves taking and communicating orders, serving with expertise, promoting pairings, and delivering a high level of guest service in a fast-paced casino environment.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 months serving experience, Smart Serve certification, strong communication and multitasking skills, and knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months serving experience in a high-volume outlet.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders, explain food prep details, and advise on wine, beer and cocktails.
• Assist with food running, bussing, seating guests and processing Momentum offers.
• Serve and deliver food/drinks in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ensure guests receive high-level service and escalate unresolved concerns to management.
• Clean and reset tables to maintain service flow.
• Work as part of a team under high-volume conditions.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Follow OH&S policies and casino promotions knowledge.
• Support a 24/7 operation.

The job involves:

• Taking guest orders, communicating details of food preparation techniques, providing information about wine, beer and cocktail lists and promoting suitable meal/drink pairings
• Assisting in various restaurant duties such as food running, bussing, seating guests and processing Momentum offers.
• Serving and delivering food/drinks in a friendly and professional manner
• Ensuring guests are provided with the highest level of service and making decisions pertaining to the betterment of the guest’s experience escalating unresolved concerns to management as appropriate
• Cleaning and resetting tables for guests to maintain service flow of the restaurant
• Working as one team under stressful conditions during high volume business levels
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
• Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:
