Job summary

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is seeking a friendly Restaurant Host or Hostess to welcome guests and provide exceptional service at The Capilano Group venues in North Vancouver. You will greet guests, take reservations, seat guests, and assist the serving team while maintaining cleanliness and promoting a positive team atmosphere.

The role requires strong communication and people skills, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Serving it Right certificate is considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills and excellent people skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and contribute to a positive experience; welcome & smile.
• Accurately take guest reservations and seat guests following rotation.
• Assist serving team by taking drink orders and running food.
• Maintain glassware and cutlery.
• Clean floors, walls, counters, windows and equipment in restaurant and service areas.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
• Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies.
• Take reasonable care to protect health and safety of guests and staff.
• Report hazards to your supervisor; ensure safety is not impaired by alcohol or drugs.

What You’ll Do

• Greet guests and contribute to a positive experience; welcome & smile

Job Qualifications

Compensation for this position is $18.25 per hour.
