Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits.
  • Develop budget to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
  • Evaluate daily operations and modify food preparation methods and menu prices accordingly.
  • Monitor staff performance, plan, organize daily operations, and train staff.
  • Determine service offerings and implement operational procedures.
  • Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Cost products and services, and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for food and supplies, and with clients for catering or facility use.
  • Participate in marketing plans and their implementation.
  • Lead and instruct team members, address customer complaints, and provide excellent customer service.
Supervision
  • Supervise 5-10 staff members.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with point of sale systems.
Work Conditions
  • Willing to travel.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
