Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Response Security Guard in Canada. You will read surroundings, recognize risks, and respond appropriately in active environments, conducting patrols and monitoring sites to maintain safety.

You must stay calm under pressure and communicate confidently with customers, employees, visitors, and your team. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible scheduling, uniform provided at no cost, GardaWorld Academy training with costs covered, and clear paths

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to obtain a valid Security Guard Licence.
• First Aid Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols of critical and assigned areas to identify suspicious activity or safety concerns.
• Monitor security systems, including alarms and cameras, and ensure they are functioning properly.
• Verify identification and control access to restricted or secure areas.
• Respond promptly to alarms, threats, and security incidents.
• Document incidents, actions taken, and observations through clear and accurate reports.
• Exercise sound judgment and decisiveness under pressure.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
• Coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents or emergencies.

You will work in an active environment where you may spend most of your shift on your feet. You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, monitor for potential threats, and take appropriate action when required.

The ideal candidateisphysically capable, alert, confident, and ableto remain calmunder pressure. Whether working ina retail environment, security facility, orother public setting, you will beexpected to maintaina professionalpresence and communicateeffectively with customers, employees, visitors, andyour team.

Responsibilities for Response Security Guard

As aSecurity Guard, youwill help maintaina safe andsecure environment bymonitoring the site, conducting patrols, controlling access, andresponding to securityincidents.

• Document incidents, actionstaken, and observationsthrough clear andaccurate reports

• Coordinate withlaw enforcementduring serious incidentsor emergencies
• Maintain a professionaland visible securitypresence at alltimes

Qualifications Response for Security Guard

• Legally authorized towork in Canada
• Ability to Obtain a Valid Security Guard Licence
• Valid First AidCertification(required)
• Ability to standand walk forextended periods throughoutthe shift
• Strong observation andattention-to-detail skills
• Ability to remainalert and makesound decisions duringincidents
• Professional communicationand customer serviceskills
• Ability to workindependently and followsite procedures

Schedule

• 4 consecutive shiftsfollowed by 4consecutive days off
• 12-hour shifts
• Must be flexibleto workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
