Job description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the sales and growth strategy team, you will drive new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across multiple industries. Your role will involve identifying and pursuing new sales channels, expanding our market presence, and developing strategic partnerships that contribute to our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Sales : Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and new markets. Develop and execute strategies to drive growth, increase revenue, and expand Hercules SLR’s national footprint.
  • Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key decision-makers. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring their material handling needs are met with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Market Intelligence : Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to proactively address client needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Sales Process Management : Oversee the complete sales lifecycle, from prospecting to deal closure. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and marketing, to deliver integrated solutions tailored to customer needs.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the industrial, manufacturing, or material handling sectors.
  • Strong understanding of rigging, lifting, and securing equipment and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and prospects.
