Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Respiratory Therapist I for Devon General Hospital in Devon, AB. You will assess patients, create and implement care plans, and monitor progress, while handling respiratory equipment and interventions.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, provide equipment training to health care staff, and educate patients and families about diseases and treatments. This is a part-time, regular position with a 0.40 FTE schedule.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).
• As required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop respiratory therapy care plans and monitor progress.
• Operate and monitor diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory equipment and interventions.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment.
• Educate patients and families about diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
