Job summary

Alberta Health Services at Westview Health Centre's Emergency unit is seeking a Respiratory Therapist I to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and monitor progress. You will handle respiratory equipment and work with clinical teams to improve outcomes.

You will train health care providers in equipment use and educate patients and families about diseases and treatments. This is a 0.50 FTE temporary role with days/evenings/nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).
• As Required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop respiratory therapy care plans.

• Manage diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions.

You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
